About the old age pension

The Department of Social Welfare, Government of Purvanchal, runs this scheme under the State Social Assistance Programme.

Who can get it

Residents of Purvanchal aged 60 or above. One active application per person.

How much

₹250 every month, paid by Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) into the applicant's bank account.

What you need to apply

• A mobile number, to receive a one-time code (OTP)
• Bank account number and IFSC
• One age proof: birth certificate, school leaving certificate or Voter ID (JPG, PNG or PDF, up to 5 MB)

How long it takes

The block officer decides within 15 days, as the Purvanchal Right to Public Services Act requires. If no decision is made in that time, the application stands approved (deemed approval).

Changing an application

A submitted application cannot be edited. While it is pending, you can withdraw it and submit a fresh one; the 15 days start again.
